SDIT Ready for the CMM3 Certification
Jan.12th through the 14th of 2005, the ATM (Appraisal Team Member) of SDIT had been through intensive training by an SEI-Authorized CMM lead assessor. The training was intended to prepare SDIT for the final assessment scheduled in March, 2005. Soon after the training, a mini-assessment went from Jan.15th to the 29th to detect existing bugs in the software development process of SDIT. The lead assessor expressed strong confidence of SDIT's passage of CMM3 certification.
SDIT kicked off the CMM3 process more than a year ago in a bid to improve the project management and software development capability. SW-CMM, developed by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI), is the de facto standard for valuating maturity of a company's software development processes and recognizing the key activities needed to ensure these processes to be mature.
