China will become the important place to undertake the international services outsourcing businesses

Wang Chao, Minister Assistant of State Commerce Ministry, attended “China (Wuxi) International Services Outsourcing Cooperation Fair” in Wuxi yesterday, he stressed that China would vigorously develop services trade as an important part of changing the growth mode of foreign trade, the government would create favorable conditions to omnibearingly undertake international (offshore) services outsourcing business.

It is introduced that services outsourcing make the original services which cannot be traded into the tradable commodities, it is an important part of modern high-end services sector with the characteristics of high technological content, large added value, low resource consumption, less environmental pollution, strong ability to absorb the knowledge-based talents and so on, it has great significance to innovate services industry developing mode, adjust services industry structure, build a society of environment-friendly and resource-conserving.

Wang Chao pointed out at the meeting that Chinese government attached great importance to developing the services outsourcing industry, last year, the Ministry of Commerce had implemented services outsourcing “Thousand Hundred Ten Project” with the relevant ministries, it would also establish a support policy to encourage undertaking services outsourcing and speed up to train a number of services outsourcing enterprises of international aptitude, in order to form a number of outsourcing industry bases. He said that currently, there were 11 base cities in China, such as Beijing, Dalian, and other cities, and one demonstration base, Wuxi also was awarded the title as “Taihu Lake Protected Area Chinese Services Outsourcing Demonstration Zone”.

Wang Chao emphasized that China would give full support to services outsourcing enterprises to obtain the international certifications and expand to international market, it would open up financing channels, build public information platform of services outsourcing, perfect the protection of intellectual property rights, and also to attract more multinational corporations to transfer services outsourcing businesses to China to lay a solid foundation for promoting China to be an important undertaking place of international services outsourcing businesses, we were striving for achieve the quadrupling in 2010 of services outsourcing export amount on the basis of 2005.

In his view, Wuxi has a unique advantage on developing services outsourcing industry, there has concentrated a number of outsourcing enterprises in the areas of software, industrial design, film and cartoon, R&D, etc, the creative R&D industries begin to form, Wuxi has become the first provincial offshore services outsourcing base in Jiangsu province. The holding of this cooperation fair in Wuxi also promote the services outsourcing industry of this city to step on a new platform and to be a vital force of Chinese services outsourcing industry.

It is learned that there are over 300 services outsourcing suppliers from Europe, the United States, Japan, India and other countries to attend this international services outsourcing cooperation fair, to discuss the developing trend of international services outsourcing cooperation between China and Japan, India and other countries, and improvement of outsourcing enterprises’ core competitiveness, and other issues, also to cooperate with each other and sign 16 projects
