Beijing and Hong Kong jointly impact the leaders of IT services outsourcing

The number of employees, the size of market and the value of turnover are continuously doubled in three years; such rapid development speed is very common to several ITO enterprises located in Zhongguancun Software Park. Yesterday, at the 11th IT Service Outsourcing Cooperation Symposium between Beijing and Hong Kong, more than 150 relevant government officials, experts, academics and representatives of related enterprises from Beijing and Hong Kong jointly discussed the common opportunities and complementarities of ITO enterprises.

A principal from Beijing Commercial Council said, "Beijing has the headquarters' economic characteristics, abundant human and technology resources. Currently, the services outsourcing in Beijing give priority to IT outsourcing, there are about 400 enterprises engaging in offshore IT outsourcing. At the same time, the fields of outsourcing have gradually expanded to financial, consulting, human resource, research and development, and other fields."

In these two years, IT, consulting and services outsourcing in Hong Kong have developed rapidly, and Hong Kong is gradually becoming one of the main areas where Beijing cooperates on services outsourcing. During January to August this year, the exports from Beijing to Hong Kong on software accounts for 14% of the total exports of the city, with an increase of 100%, and ranks third just behind Japan and America. "Compared to India, the advantage of China is that it has an own great ITO market. If enterprises between Beijing and Hong Kong cooperate with each other, they can occupy a leader position of IT outsourcing industry by seizing the opportunities." A head of software technology enterprise in Hong Kong stated.
